Mojo Lifestyle on the Costa del Sol: Cool down on a boat trip in Benalmádena!

It is summer; it is beyond 30 degrees. So what better way to end a nice week of work than with a boat trip in Benalmádena with cold drinks, sushi, dolphins and, of course, the hardworking Mojo team?

After work Friday afternoon, Mojo met up at a nice catamaran in Benalmádena Marina to enjoy a relaxing sail tour around the area. This summer activity has several advantages: We get to experience the popular real estate area from another angle while getting some fresh wind in the hair, a cold dip in the sea and, of course, a glass of champagne!

First of all, the location is terrific! Benalmádena is located in the Málaga region, less than a 20-minute drive to Málaga Airport, about 22 km to Málaga centre, which is known as the capital of Andalusia, and 40 km to the luxurious Marbella.

The municipality of Benalmádena consists of three main urban areas known as Benalmádena Pueblo, Benalmádena Costa and Arroyo de la Miel. About 70,000 people live in Benalmádena, most of whom are between 30-59 years old. Moreover, 69,5 % of the population is Spanish, and the remaining part is from other countries.

Benalmádena has a lot to offer, considering it is a relatively small town. There are several excellent restaurants, cafées, bars, and glorious beaches, there is the award-winning Puerto Marina, and nature is always just around the corner. You can visit Parque Paloma and hike on the Calamorro Mountain. There are countless of things to see and activities to do in Benalmádena.

It is no wonder International Living named it the best place to live in all of Spain besides the bigger cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante and Málaga.

What can you do on the Costa del Sol?

The answer is simple: Anything you can imagine!

The different coast areas have so much to offer for an affordable price – and many things are even free!

You can spend a day at the beach, swim in the Mediterranean sea, surf, run along the beach promenade “Paseo Maritimo”, or hike in the mountains. Nature is freely accessible to everyone and a big part of the charm of the Costa del Sol. And if you are looking for something different to do besides all the aforementioned joys, you do not have to travel far.

We recommend you jump on the train to the centre of Málaga, where you will find the romantic and relaxing Arab baths called Hammam Al Ándalus. Here, you can disconnect from the surrounding world, while the architecture takes you back in time to the eighth century when the Arabs ruled Málaga.

A whole other kind of activity is golf, which is famous on the Costa del Sol, where you will find no less than 70 beautiful golf courses, which constitutes the largest concentration of golf courses in all of Europe.

You can also take the car, bus, or train to go skiing in the most southern ski resort in Europe, the Sierra Nevada in Granada, which is only two hours from Málaga airport.
