Stocks workshop in Benalmádena
We know Per Mønsted best from Mojo Estates and the current TV programme “Sol for millioner” (Sun for millions), but stock trading is no new concept to the experienced estate agent.
“Stocks have been a hobby for me ever since I was young, but as you gain more experience and want a return on your investments, I discovered that there was actually a fair bit of technique behind choosing the right stocks.”
Christopher Wold, who started investing more than 10 years ago when he went to HHX (business high school), is a frequent guest on the radio programme “Millionærklubben” (The Millionaire’s Club), where he shares advice in stock trading.
“At the workshop you can expect to learn about the tools and analyses I use daily, as well as how to spot and find stocks, such as mine that have grown as much as 40% in 2019 to date.
The most important thing about stocks is “risk management” (stop-loss), which is what I teach in the workshop,” says Christopher, who is looking forward to being able to share his knowledge with a live audience and the opportunity to ask questions along the way.
A long-term investment is a short-term investment gone wrong.
“First of all, stock trading is a “mind game”, and often you are your own biggest enemy. We humans find it incredibly difficult to acknowledge our own mistakes, and therefore we are not quick enough to sell the stocks that are dropping in value. We keep hoping that the stock will recover.
In addition to this, it is important to have a clear strategy for your investment. After all, you wouldn’t buy a house from me without knowing what to do with it and without us talking about the risk and return on your house investment.
The same goes for investments in stocks: you need to think about your risk profile, the return you want, as well as where your stop-loss rate is – and you need to be willing to take a loss. I usually say, that “a long-term investment is a short-term investment gone wrong,” Per Mønsted says, the host for the night that has been arranged in his own house in Benalmádena.
